So how much would it cost to get started in turbine helicopters including all the ground/support equipment?

Default Cost????

Support equipment is minimal. One extra charger for the ECU battery if you want to charge both the ECU and the RX pack at the same time. A fuel container and pump for kerosene for example the Jersey Modeler Fuel Can. A can of Powermax Propane for the start and thats about it.

Jetcopter SX $5000.00
Schltze Charger $160.00
Jersey Modeler Can $200.00
Powermax Propane $2.99

$5400.00 plus normal radio gear ----CHEAP!!!!!

Default A bigger picture.......

OK, here is what I expect to outlay on my upcoming Jetcopter SX:

Basic heli.........$5,000
Chargers (MRC 959 @ $60 each) .....$120
3500 MaH NiMh sub A packs x 2 @ 30........$60
Futaba 9252 servo's @ 75 each x 3.........$225
Futaba GY 601 Gyro combo.......................$310
Futaba 149DP RX.........................$150
Bifurcated aftermarket exhaust: a MUST @ $225
Electronic switch.......................$35
Fuel can, pump, ect..............$210
Turbine Oil, case price...........$200
Powermax, 6 pack................$20
Sweat Towel....................bundle @ $15
Drool Rags...........not sure, but I'm gonna need a LOT !

I already have a FUtaba 9CHP: without one would be another $275. I'm looking at about 6500 for the full meal deal not inclusive of the fuel itself.

I don't even want to figure in the cost of the fuse I plan on.....James
