The heli version comes with a smooth throttle ratchet (it doesnt click on the throttle stick like airplanes) and depending on if you get the micro heli version or not, the servos that it comes with are different. Other than that I dunno, I just bought a futaba 6ex 2.4ghz and it comes with both kinds of ratchets and no servos so I could choose my own. For the money, its a pretty sweet deal, better than the DX6 and only marginally less than the DX7, but I didnt care for the jr servos that were included so the choice was easy!!!

Yes they are different part numbers and the non-ratcheting throttle is the only difference that I am aware of. I bought the DX7 Microlite version for my new T-Rex. It came with the DX7 transmitter, the AR6100 receiver and 3 JR DS285 micro digital servos. I used Hitech HS-65mg servos on my T-Rex so the the JRs will probably end up on Ebay soon.

Curious. I put the 285's on my REX and am very impressed with them.
In regards to the thread, I believe they both hit the nail on the head. However, I would have to disagree regarding the Futaba 2.4. I am far more impressed with the DX7 than the 6EX, and, "yes", I've used both. That's merely my $.02, however, as I know Futaba vs. JR is the Ford vs. Chevy of RC. Whatever you like better.
