Default battery?

I have a blade cx and i cant figure out if my batteries are the problem or my charger is the problem. i check the volts of the battery before i start and its at 8.38 right where it should be but when i power up the thing it just doesn't have the power it used to, it barely climbs. and im pretty sure its the battery or the charger. I have two batteries and they do the exact same thing and i don't think i over discharged them because i have never had to charge them for more than an hour and forty-five minutes. the second the heli started to lose power i shut the thing off as quickly as possible. Or could it still be the batteries? everything is only about three weeks old and its starting to get really frustrating[:@]. Just now i tried flying the thing starting with the perfect voltage according to the volt meter and i flew it for literally a minute and checked the volt meter again and it reads 8.2. my previous pack that was flown for about 5 minutes was down to 7.3 volts. I am really confused can somebody please help out? Should the voltage be dropping this quick?

yeah, the difference in mAh between 8.2v and 8.4v on that 800mAh pack is probably only like 50mAh or less, so yes it should go down that fast.

How old are your motors? Like how much flight time? Are they getting hot? If they've got over 10 hours, or are getting hot, then replace em, and make sure to break them in first.

an hour and 45 min charge could be a bit excessive if you've got the 650mAh charger. With that charger it should take you right around an hour if you haven't over discharged the pack. (80% of 800 is 640mAh), but still that shouldn't be causing this problem.

I would say check out the motors and see if replcing those doesn't fix the problem, also if you have not seen it, check out this page with cx2 articles

yeah it does sound like the motors are the problem because while they only have about 4 hours on them, they have gotten really hot; enough that it would burn my fingers if i held them there, so i guess that could be the problem, is there anyway this could be a 4 in 1 problem or if it was would the esc's just blow all together? I guess I'll replace the motors and ill be sure to get the heat sink this time

yeah, It could be a 4 in 1 problem, but likely is not, especially with what you said about the motors. The other thing is that for it to be a 4 in 1 problem you would have had to crashed it and kept the power to the motors after it went in and the motors would have had to bind for about a second or more, but not over about 4 or 5 sec or it likely would have completely blown the ESC FET's
