I have a heli max axe cp and am fairly good at flying it. i also have 90-120 hours flight experience on real flight g3.5. I am considuring saving up to get a gas heli in the next year or so. What would be a good choice? Any opinons will be extremely helpful in my decision making.

Today you are lucky, because it is kind of hard to get into a nitro heli that will not be able to take you from hover to some pretty demanding 3D. Anything from the inexpensive Century Hawk Pro with an OS37 to the 50 size birds with an OS50 Hyper or YS50 like their Raven 50, or Hirobo's Sceado 50, Compass Knight 50, TT's Raptor 50 and some others.
You will find these bigger nitros are much easier to fly and much more capable.
Sticking with any of the above will serve you well.

The nitro offerings out their seem pretty extensive today, I suggest reading up on reviews (print/online), maybe making a trip to the local field you will fly at to get opinions of what the locals fly, and check your local hobby store for parts.
You may find you get a heli that is popular at the hobby store/field because it is easier to get help/parts when you wad it up on saturday and feel like flying it on sunday.
I wouldn't overlook the electrics either, I upgraded from an Axe cp to a TT mini titan and couldn't be happier. No mess to clean up, I can keep it in the truck and fly at lunch/after work almost anywhere without pissing anyone off.
The size gives it plenty of stability unlike the axe and believe me if you can hover the axe, when you step up to something like a t-rex or larger you ought to be pretty bored on the sticks if you are just hovering tail in.
I like the nitro idea too but the ability to fly frequently with the electric outweighed the cool/noisy/power factor for me, especially helpful when you are trying to learn.
my 2 cents
