I wouldn't actually say there is anything that will meet both your criteria. If you only pay $100 you won't get anything good. If you go up to $200 there are a couple decent ones, my favorite in that price range for a ccpm heli is the [link=http://www.helidirect.com/product_info.php?cPath=29&products_id=4540]belt cp[/link], i think you can find it cheaper than the link but you'll have to shop around. You can get a fixed pitch heli for $100, the honey bee fp on the same site but you can't do 3D with it.

there are no $100 helis worth having.
blade cp is a fun little heli.
i would recommend that as a beginner heli only because it is cheap.
it is alot harder to fly than a larger heli.
larger helis are more expensive.
get you atleast a 30 size nitro heli. cheaper than a 90, alittle less intimidating, alittle less atable than a 90 but a good start.
if you got the $$ get a 90 and get someone who knows how to fly helis teach you. you wont reget it.

try this out buddy.. 75 bucks... tell him jake sent you and he might give you a set of blades free with your first purchase.. his shipping is cheap too. as the other guys say,, there is no good 100 copter. but this will give you a feel for what you are up against. if you like it and can learn to fly this one the bigger better helis will be a breeze to fly once you learn the extra stick movement. i have one bird simular to this one and a black hawk 450.
i still cant even hover... but the smaller bird is easier to work on when you break parts,,which you will break parts. but the parts are cheap and easy to find.. this same place that sells this bird carries parts too. he has helped me out big time and i cant thank him enough. he ships fast too so no waiting foever for your parts.. but yea,,, it is a good starter bird.. if you like this start saving then get a bigger one.. jake...

full maxx,
If you dont already have a sim spend the money on a sim. IF you run out and drop 100.00 on a cheap Heli you without any other practice (sim or someones help) your just going to turn around and spend 3 times that before your first hover.
Good Luck
and Good Flying

yea my black hawk from kaplanes was test flown by mike too. he said he had it hovering almost hands free.. that was a month ago. i still cant hover.. i get her up a foot or so and when she starts to drift i freak out and lose it. these bh's are just so nice i hate to mess it up.. but thats the only way to learn i guess. the sims is great but sooner or later you have to fly the real thing. and the real thing is much more scary then flying the sim.. i'll get it though.. might cost me 500 in parts but i'll get it..

The CX2 is a very popular beginner heli, co-axial and very stable. Only concern is that you'll master it in a couple months, it can only fly up/down, front/back and side to side. Fun to fly indoors though.

The point I think Druss is trying to make is that it doesnt fly like a real Heli, no coaxil does. They are to stable
I have a blade CX 2 and it got boring after a week or two.

Ya, my point is that you can't do much with it, forward flight is very slow, no inverted flight, no 3D. Great stable little heli but also can't handle any wind. Basically it's only good for indoors or no wind outdoors flight. Very simple.

3D is aerobatics man... flying upside down and other silly stuff... do a google video search on Curtis Youngblood, the guy is bad!
not everythign has to be 3D, but for 100 bucks, I'm going with you should spend the money on real flight or something, besides, it's winter, you aren't going to fly much.. spend time on the sim, save money and go for something decent (t-rex or clone). The CX's are cool, and they can get you going on nose in/out hovering, but you can't fly them outside much and like they've been saying, it flies too easy and can get boring..
these are nothing like cars dude

that's basically the same as the eflite cx2, I have one and it's ok for about 3 weeks then you outgrow it. still fun to fly around the house but take it out in any wind then you're all over the place.

like druss has said,, they are fun and very easy to fly.. they make a good indoor copter or outside if there is zero winds. but they are slow and you will get bored with it in a month or two,, maybe sooner.. if you want to stay under 100 bucks try one of these.. they are harder to fly but can zoom around pretty quick.. not really an inside bird except maybe to hover. but you better be pretty good at it.
these two i show here are decent starter birds for under 100 dollars and the parts are cheap to buy. these are also pretty easy to work on. now once you fly these you WILL want a better/bigger one.. they can cost you anywhere from 175 to 1000 dollars or more.. but to start out and if you want something that is fast try one of these.. the first one is from a real good guy.. he will ship it out probably the same day you order it. his shipping charges are very good too. and he is always on this site for q@a's...
his parts are at avery good price too. jake.

here is another... both are pretty much the same bird.. this is also a very good guy to do buisness with.. great customer service.

here is one more... heard good and bad things about this place. i placed 1 order for a cheap sim and had no problems.. this is also pretty much as the 2 above. a lot of the parts on all 3 birds are interchangeable..
