Can I use a Futaba 9CHF on Realflight G2?
I posted this in the "Flight Sim" forum but got no responses.
Can I use a Futaba 9CHF on Realflight G2? I've been told that it will fry the 9C.
Any info would be helpful.
Thanks

I have no idea why someone would say that, unless they tried some kind of unorthodox way of hooking it up. Was that a post on this forum? Where did you hear that? Daz...

DAZ,
I assume that you use your 9C on RF G2? If so, did you need an adaptor? Correct me if I'm wrong but the plug in the back of the 9C is the same as in the G2 controller. If so, is an adaptor needed?
THanks

I have a 9CAP I use on G2, however I needed this adapter here, but it says it for the 9CAP:

So b4 you use that 9CHP with G2, lets ask Futaba and see what they say, see this link:

The tx tries to send a signal to nothing and heats up inside the synth. The signal goes nowhere and I have heard of people frying their tx using it w/ realflight. If you do, be sure to extend the antenna all the way.

I use my 9C with G2.
You will need the adaptor listed in post#8.
I have always removed the TX module when controlling G2 with the radio. No worry about burning it up then. Or you could extend the antenna.

That seems like a simple fix...is that written down somewhere on either of the manuals?
You'll have to excuse my ignorance because I haven't received my 9C yet but the TX module is the little box in the center of the back? Yes, Very dumb question but at least I'm not asking what the two sticks do!

You can either just remove the module, that is located on the back of the Tx, squeeze tabs to remove, or you can extend the antenna so that the antenna isnt next to the module like it is when the antenna is collapsed, but you dont have to fully extend it just enough so that the base of the antenna is extended. RE: Can I use a Futaba 9CHF on <span class=
Hmm.. I've attached my futaba T8UHF to my G2 and have flown it for 3 days now about 20 minutes each time. No problems. I do have the cord that goes from the tx to the usb controller. My antenna is collapsed and I have not taken out any modules.

RE: Can I use a Futaba 9CHF on <span class=
I use my 9CHP all the time. I take out the module as the tx battery will last many hours since no power is being used to transmit. IF you leave the module in and keep the antenna retracted, you will notice the module gets HOT! Heat is never a good thing inside your tx!
