I'm new to helicopters also, but I bought a Blade CX2. I really like it, it's easy to fly. replacement parts are fairly inexpensive and can be found at most hobby shops. if your new to flying you might want a to stay away from the more advanced helicopters, start with a beginner helicopter and learn to fly it first then move up.

I was told by many people that the CX2 was "really easy to learn on." Thats great, but my number one problem with that was that I wanted a heli that would give me a challenge and continue to do so for quite some time into the future. The second problem is that once you have the CX2 down and you do finally make the move to a collective pitch heli- IT IS A WHOLE NEW BALL GAME! Flying the CX2 is nothing compared to flying a CP(So I have heard). So why make the move? Why not just stick with the same thing?

I bought originally a Blade CP Pro- fully areobatic- figured I would get there in a year or so. It was a mistake. The CP is always needing changes- tail motor, main motor, snapped tail boom, blah blah blah. The worst part of it all was the the replacement parts were expensive as hell!

I recently made the switch to a HoneyBee King 2. I HIGHLY reccommend it! It is very cheap to repair, and it is very reliable. I could buy two sets of woodies for the price of one Blade CP set. If you are looking for a reliable and stable heli, I would recommend the HBK2 to you.

I hope this helped- if you want more info PLEASE do not hesitate to PM me- I am more than willing to help out a fellow newbie!

Trex is the next step above the HBK2. If you have a lot of money, and you know you are going to stick with this I would definitely get that. It provides more power, more stability but requires deeper pockets. Plus she just looks so damn sexy! [X(]

I started with the Belt CP. Fully loaded, battery, radio, heli, and charger for $199. Can't beat it and it's FUN to fly, er, learn to fly.

I'm not sure who you're getting your information from but the lama v4 is the EASIEST to fly out of that list.

blade cx 2 and do noise end hover, side hover, FF, side FF,and pinpoint landings and takeoffs while staying clear of the celling fan [sm=drowning.gif] and a flight sim like Real flight 3.5, 4.0 or any of the other top brand named flight sim's on the market just get a NAME BRAND . that way you know you get support and upgrades from time to time when you need it and what you are flying looks and feels real . also a sim is great to try new moves on so you don't trash your bird in RL you just hit the reset button and try again

PLEASE don't be pushing the eflite over the esky, I own 3 esky products and the one eflite I had I couldn't get rid of fast enough. "name brand" my *****.

the entire "blade" line of heli's is over priced, both in products and parts... wouldn't even take one for free, okay I would but only to sell it and buy another esky...

one note to those who would like to discount my opinion, i've owned both eflite and esky (along with a few aligns) and i would choose esky again anytime, if you'd like to argue that then do so with some education, try it before you bash it.
