Default Painted Plastic?

i saw at this link http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6935180/tm.htm Ausable said he wanted a firber glass canopy so he could get it painted. Why wouldn't a plastic canopy work? Any help to answer my burning question will be appreciated

really why fiberglass, you can get a spray paint called fusion bonds to the plastic. good stuff . used it on my eagle 50

The bleach bottle canopies hold onto paint like women hold on to money.

Fusion isn't fuel proof, bulldog adhesion promoter helps but they usually look pretty shabby in short order.

Very clever answer
Panzertank, If you want to paint a clorox bottle canopy (quoting BH)
Take it to a body shop & let them do it for you.The have most of the materials
and experience,however eventually it will peel of just like contact paper do vibration
and thickness of the Plastic

Vinyl graphics or a fiberglass painted canopy are easier and look better than painting the plastic.

7-10-14 days. Depends on how dark you want it. Sure helps if you can heat it up from time to time. I didn't exceed 150^F.
