Winter Project
#1
Well the winter project is almost done. I hope to fly it in April (I build very slowly). The X-Cell top end has made this rappy devoid of slop. It looks like I will get 23 deg of total pitch. The OS 50 will not overpower the head anymore. Now if I can just keep the clutch in one piece this should be a nice flying heli. I call it the X-Cellent ERGOnomic VelociRaptor SE. It weighs in at 8lb. 3 oz. with SAB 600 at 147g. It has the big tank, the new metal pitch arm and metal elevator rocker arm, and lots of other shiney bits that you cannot see. The canopy is a HHI Ergo 46 FG

The entire top end is X-Cell.
The main shaft and swashplate and everything above it is X-Cell. I'm running the white 3D paddles on an X-Cell flybar. It has the large fuel tank, the metal pitch arm and elevator rocker arm, HHI tuff Struts skids, One peice tail rotor hub, Ricks split gear driven tail, metal frame inserts and carbon frame brace. I'm running 4131's and a GY 401/9253 combo, SAB 600, OS 50 with Weston 46 pipe.

The whole reason for this came about last summer at our field fun fly when we had the drag races. I had the stock head setup and I moed down 11 oncomers with the rappy. I was crowned Drag Queen. I was scared to death standing behind this ship as it spun up to 2150 ready to launch. I was convinced it was going to explode on launch. It never did but now I will feel much more comfortable drag racing this ship. This cost me all of $150 for the used X-Cell parts.
