Default Ccpm Setup

THE CCPM 120 DEGREE SETUP ON THE BENZINE TRAINER USING CCPM SIDE FRAMES;

1. DO YOU USE EXTENDED BALL-END BOLTS ON SWASHPLATE TO GIVE MORE OF A VERTICAL LINEAR MOVEMENT OF CONTROL ROD?

2. WITH THE CURRENT SETUP THE LINKAGE RUBS ON THE SERVO BODY AT LOW STICK POSITIONS. (THE BALL-END BOLTS ON THE SERVO HORN ARE ON THE INSIDE OF THE ARM ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT SERVOS IN THE HALF-FRAMES TO GIVE MOST LINEAR VERTICAL MOTION. [U] PLACING THE BALLS ON THE OUTSITE WILL MAKE THE ROD LENGTHS LONGER AND INCREASE ANGLE.)

ALL SERVO ARMS ARE HORIZONTAL AND PARALLEL AT MID-STICK
COLLECTIVE.
THE SWASHPLATE JIG IS 16mm
THE (3) ROD LENGTHS BETWEEN BALL LINKS MEASURES 39.5mm

IN THE ORIGINAL CCPM SETUP, THE LINKAGE BETWEEN THE SWASHPLATE AND THE SERVO IS CONNECTED VIA THE USE OF A CONTROL ARM THAT ALLOWS VERTICAL MOVEMENT.

ANY COMMENTS APPRECIATED, THANKS

Default Set up

As far extending the ball lengths there is no need to do that, On the sevo cases rubbing just block the servo so it extends more out from the frames. Your rod will not be exactly linear however I have 3 benzins and had the same issues when I built them. I spoke in length to Joe Howard at East Coast Scale Helicopters and he assured me there would be no problem. Like I said I have three Benzins 2 pod and boom and one in a carbon airwolf and all fly as good as you could ever want them to with no issues created by the set up

Thanks for the comments. I have talked to Joe about it as well.
