Yesterday I was checking out my 450 and found the tail rotor servo {JR 3400G} did not sound very good and had a notch as it rotated so I figured "no problem" replace the gears. I call the local hobby shop first to verify they were in stock but they had toubles idenifying the servo after an explanition found out they are on back order for the next month. No problem I'll simply buy a new servo {and have a spare} but found out after another call to Horizon they are on back order also for the next month. the servo IS hanging on the wall in the shop in the four servo multi-pack for 160.00+ tax= 175.00 all for a nicked servo gear!!!
Jerry
PS I already have spare collective servos

They have plenty servos and gear sets in stock.
Sometimes you gotta do some online shopping.

Most hobby stores have to buy their inventory from the distributors. Based on that, if an item
doesn't move then they will not order it to sit on the shelf. This also follows with the distributors.
With that in mind, they will not normally split up a servo set because they cannot sell it to you
out of the inventory and the followup labor to replace that servo in the set.
If it is a local store and not a chain then they are more likely to so this but most will not.

No problem. If you haven't bought from GrandRC before, they have good customer service, send tracking #'s and ship fast. They also have pretty good prices.
