Default Raptor 50 loses power at WOT

My Raptor 50 has about 3 gallons of fuel through it, I am trying to set up fine tune now. Hovers great at steady RPM, however when I go to WOT and hold it, it goes up about 150ft and then the motor seems to labour and vibrate, then will start to lose power. Is this a "too rich" problem or "too lean", or maybe not enough head speed ? I have 615 carbon fiber blades and using cool poer 15%. Any suggestions

If your sure that its mixture, it sounds too lean. How much smoke do you have from the exhaust?

Under 10 isnt enough to properly load a 50, should be atleast 10.

http://www.raptortechnique.com has a systematic tuning guide. In general if you hit throttle hold and it doesn't settle to idle quickly and "machine guns" on the way down its too lean.

Doh![sm=idea.gif]I shoulda knowed that! Actually, this is the first time I have heard it used, despite being both interested in helis, and a member here for about 2 years. Just shows to go ya, the learning never stops!
