Default I'm a noob.. Pls Help!

Hello Everyone!!!! I have been surfing the web drooling on electric helis for the past couple of months now (yup! i have not flown one before). I finally purchased a 2008 blackhawk 450pro yesterday (dont want to start with a pretty basic one, but dont worry guys i'll take it slow and probably just hover a few inches from the ground with a training landing gear for the first couple of weeks..lol ) I have watched and read a lot of videos and articles about flying a heli and i am convinced i'm going to have a hard time learning how to fly it. The heli i purchased has cnc rotor and tail, carbon fiber frame, 35a esc with 3500kv brushless motor, 11.1v 12c 2200mah lipo.. etc... Now i need to figure out what i need for my new heli to go with (tools, antenna perhaps, better lipo battery rating, a better charger.. etc) I need Advice.. Help me out guys

SIMULATOR!!! Batterys... I have slung a 11.1V 1800Mah from between myy Skids on my heli-max AXE-CP Just to get lots of power and it works. If your just starting out I dont sudgest doing this because it changes alot especially if the battery slips out of the zipties like mine did a couple times.( funny story when you loss all electrical power 15 feet up ) Just the way it goes. Dont get mad when you crash, Go ahead and tell the wife/girlfriend crashing is apart of learning and learning ='s money. I would go ahead and invest in tail booms and every part nessesary to rebuild the rotor head and tail. BUY SKIDS something forgotten means less time "learning". Good luck and remember not to give up. Oh dont try hovering around in small rooms or living rooms air circulating causes a circular air flow in the room and eventually can get nasty. GOOD LUCK!

If you have a 450 size heli, you should get a lipo with at least a 15c rating....preferrably 20c or better.

I fly Kong Power 2200mah 25c batteries on my TREX 450 SE v2 and love them! You can get two for $120 at www.techmodelproducts.com

Good luck!

For a decent 450 size heli, $600 isn't bad at all! I've got about $850 in my TREX 450 SE v2 not including radio. But it's the best investment I've made in this hobby to date! It is so true that once you bite the bullet and spend the cash on a good heli, the hobby becomes so much more fun! I did my rounds with a Blade CX (which I do love), a Blade CP (wish I never did) and now my TREX 450. Had I just started out on the 450, I would have saved more money in the long run and it wouldn't have taken me over a year to finally have the amount of fun I'm having now with my rex.

Good luck bro!
