I have set up the stock speed controller that comes with the TREX 600 kit. (RCE-BL1000G) by ALIGN.
I set the electric timming to mid., and throttle responce speed to medium. Is this what others are setting ther ESC at? I am assumming that if I were wanting top 3D performance I would set the electric timming and throttle responce speed to high and expect the battery to give me less flight time.
I have set the battery protection to high andaircraft to heli 2 ( soft start + governor mode)

While I haven't tried that ESC in particular, I've never seen Align esc's Gov mode work worth a damn. Personally I'd use throttle curves, mid timing, and high throttle response.

I dont have a 600 (yet). I can say that on my 450 and 500 the battery protection is on medium with no problems. That said I do fly with a timer. On high it cuts back to early for me.

I am wondering if I might get more flight time on a battery if the electrict timming was set to low and the throttle responce speed set to low. I have not tried this yet because I think I might not get good performance? I will change from heli 2 to heli 1 (soft start).
