Dear Shuttlers,
I am a newbie, but I am able to hover comfortably without the training gear. One thin I noticed is that the Shuttle hover on an angle!
Is this correct? Have I put it together back to front? Please see the attached picture to see what I mean.
BTW. In this picture the Shuttle is hovering in a spot (its not moving left or right)
Any suggestions appreciated.

Peter,
It is normal for helicopters to lean to one side a bit in a hover. But looking at the photograph it looks like your training gera may not be centered on the heli. If it is off to one side it may be putting the lateral balance off. Looks like the gear is more to the right side of the heli causing the lean, do you find you need left trim in it?
Check the balance and see if that helps.

I don't think there is anything that could define "too much". While the inherent tilt is necessary to offset the tendency to drift sideways due to the tail rotor, a tilt will also occur when you are hovering in any wind whatsoever - the heli will need to lean into the wind to maintain position. If it stays in one spot, it is not too much! Even full size helis have to do this - it is just part of the flight dynamics of a helicopter!
