Hey brc007, It's called the Vectron Blackhawk, it's remote controll and can use two 9.6v batteries or use the AC adapter to plug into the wall. It has 13 feet of cord so you can take it all the way to the ceiling of the house. I don't even realize there is a cord hanging from it when im flying it. The radio controlled ones are very expencive. This one was $75. I got it at Hobby People. Flight time is 10 minuts with a 5 minut cool down.

I got one flew it for awhile , got bored and got the real thing ( its was fun in the beginning and the kids love to fly it ,you can get this at www.spiegel.com for $48.00 thats the cheapest I found it.) Its called the DRAGANFLYER 3 . The 4th gen of the roswell flyer . This kicks butt and is really a challenge. Same control as a heli and no tether and totally RC. Go to www.rctoys.com and check out the videos. They now have a camera option so you can video from the saucer made just for this model. Super cool. Definately will not get tired of this and you can fly as far as you can see.

LOL
Never said it was cheap. Its less if you buy it without a transmitter and battery charger. The only thing is it works with Futaba and Hi Tec transmitter only. Just flew this (Draganflyer 3)outdoors at the field today, really neat. Just passin info on fun hi tech stuff.

C'mon Andy flyin turbin's thats gotta be major bucks, I have to sell my first born to do that. Hey at least you can fly the Draganflyer 3 indoor when the weathers bad. Flyin turbines a handful I bet so you must be pretty skillful, you definately would have a good time and challenge with the Dragan.

Naw, flying turbine's is no problem, just faster than the rest thats all. I bet flying any hovering aircraft is harder. I have flown a helicopter...to me anyway it was pretty tough. I am thinking about getting that electric heli called the Hornet. That should be fun.

My friend whom is a rep for a major heli company flew the hornet. He said the draganfly is a lot more stable than the hornet . He also says by the time you get all the components you need you will be spending a pretty good chunk of change also. The dragan can be flown outdoors in as much wind up to 15 MPH . Though they recommend only up to 5 MPH if your new. I fly helis also and enjoy the fact that this helps me keep in tune because the controls are the same.

This you won't get bored with and it will help you with getting used to heli my rep friend encourages me to push myself on this. I am not that good on heli yet. If you have a charger that will charge 10 cell 12 volts you can save money too. If you want you can also tether this to a car bat or 12 volt and fly around ,great if your in a small area and don't want to change batteries. This is a very versatile heli and your friends are gonna love it. If your around my area let me know you can try mine.

Hi Ken,
I've looked at the video. The unit is definately more than just a toy. I also called them up and they were very friendly. Is the price a little steep maybe. But the quality looks good and your also paying for their development. I probably will get one to fly in my park. One thing I like is that they designed the blades to break if it hits something. That way to avoid damage to the thing that it is hitting. A major safety factor if you ask me.
Anyways now all I have to do is save my money. Oh yes they say they are two weeks back ordered and will offer a $50.00 discount if you place the order now. Sounds a little bit like a small firm trying to make it, but thats good I hope they do.
Sincerely,
Jason

From: , BC,
I'm interested in buying the Vectron Blackhawk!
but... I live in Canada, and no one, (I've done quite a bit of research) ships to Canada for a reasonable price! These companies recommend having someone in the states forwarding it to me... I live on the south coast, 3 hours north of the washington boarder. (You'd think that if they ship to Alaska, they'd be able to ship to me!
)
If anyone is interested in helping me out, give me an e-mai!

I have one of the original Draganfliers that used a standard reciever and has a different frame. Its pretty fun to hover around indoors. It really is amazing how easy it to fly the gyro stabilization makes it nearly hands off hover. Actually, come to think of it, If anybody is interested in it I'll cut them a pretty good deal. Like all miniture electronic helis I think it is really more of a toy than a serious flying machine. That being said he who dies with the most toys wins, right?

Try removing the landing gear and the outer black ring from the Vectron. Then it's a lot of fun. Its ceiling and climb rate increase greatly as well as cyclic responsiveness. I was bored with it until I started tinkering. It is more vulnerable to damage if you do this though.
