I just got a Dynam hughes 300 from a guy at work. It seems to all be in pretty good working order except one small thing. When i get the throttle 1/2 way to hover or take off the tail spins like crazy counterclockwise. What is the deal?
Be nice im a complete newb to heli's but i have looked all over the internet and other forums for answers with no luck.
Thanks
Jake

It sounds like the servo to the rudder needs to be reversed. Has this heli ever flowen? The gyro could be not workig eather. If the main rotors rotate clockwise the tail rotor should rotate counter clockwise. Also just befor the heli starts to spin around give the rudder some imput to see if the heli will rotate the correct diriction you give it with rudder imput. if the heli cockpit rotates to the right when you give right imput to the rudder the rudder serve dose not need to be reversed. On the other hand if the cockpit rotates to the left when you give the heli right rudder imput you need to reverse the servo. You dothat in the transmitter.\

so the simpler way to changing the rotation of the tail is to just turn the plug around, i was going to re solder the tail motor. all fixed now its time to fly thanks.
