That would be me, I figured if I hang on to the tail of my Shogun heli it won't get into anytrouble as I spool it up. Well nothing fell apart due to high rotor speed what did happen was the tail cannot take the lift of that brushless motor and buckled the boom. I hacked up three fingers and a thumb did a real good job on the thumb inch long cut and maybe deep still not decided whether to go get stitches or not. So when they say give yourselves lots of room between you and your heli I found out that is about the best idea there is. I will put it together again and try from a safe distance next time.OK you can all stop shaking your heads now I have been humbled

bad luck, I can't under stand why the heli tryed to turn around, but bad luck with a boom bending, I know I've done it a test like you holding the heli by the skids on the bench many times but it's never loaded the tail,
well we all like to see some pictures, just to see how bad it is when it goes wrong,[:'(]

Well, sorry to hear about the incident.
I had near crash experinec several times..
Everytime thankfully I had something in my hands to slap the heli out of the aiir. Sometimes even my Transmitter.
DO have at least the tx in your both hands, when you are flying. It helps.

Thanks Barracuda I bet you are right likely the first moron would have been Jan 1 2009. I figured this was a good way to help other twits not to do something this stupid but when you get down to it someone will find some mother way.

Yes those are holes the blades come from the factory like that. The tail on these helis seem to break easy so I'm getting some good light aluminum and going to machine up some new stronger tail parts which is everything except the blades
