Default First Helicopter

I am looking into buying an indoor(and possibly outdoor but i will probably be using it indoors the most but i dont know if they have one for both indoor and outdoor) helicopter. One with good battery life and easy to control. This is my first helicopter to buy but i have flown some before at friends houses and really enjoyed it. I am looking at helicopters in a price range of no more than $50.

Here are some i have been looking at:

http://www.hobbytron.com/Winner-Full...elicopter.html
http://www.hobbytron.com/ElectricRCM...elicopter.html
http://www.hobbytron.com/ElectricRCH...03AA70921.html
http://www.hobbytron.com/Hornet3Mini...pterHT007.html

If you can please recommend me some helicopters of the ones i listed or ones that you think would be good for me

thanks

No helicopter that I know of will fly outdoors for under $50.

The ones you're looking at are really toys more than they are hobby grade helis. Not to say they aren't good for the money but there really is no parts support and if something breaks you can pretty much just throw it out.

The cheapest hobby grade helis I can recommend are the esky lama v4 or the eflite mcx, both just over $100.

Heck, on that note, I can't say that I know of many helis that will fly worth a darn *ANYWHERE* that are much under $300. You get what you pay for, and cheap is almost always crap . . .

I'm with Druss. Esky Lama/robins/dauphin. Lama is about the same as the E-flite Blade CX/CX2, but a bit less expensive with great parts availability. Its a great indoor heli and you can fly it outside if theres next to no wind.

the first 2 are probably the easiest of the 5 to fly. and they are better made. the 3rd one is going to be a bit harder to fly and control. and the 4th one is a piece of crap that not only has hardly any control but is made of a hard styrofoam. the tail blade is real flimsy and the wires are very thin and break easy.

they are all toys as the other guy said but for just messing around inside the house i'd go for the 1st or 2nd one. those two you would at least be able to go forward and handle easier being coax's.. jake

Unfortunately, it's difficult to find a decent heli under $50. The one that comes to mind is the E-Sky Lama 4 series. They are 4-channel co-axial helis that have servos. They are going for about $85.00 You can also upgrade this heli to metal parts or a better motor in the future. I would rather save some more money to get a better heli which would also not be consider a toy like the ones you have suggested.
