So I started putting my Eco 8 back together. After not know what my boss did wrong, I took it all back apart and started over. Good thing too, Turnbuckles for the head were wrong and different lengths, the cyclic stabilizer was in upside down. Anyhoo, now with the head assembled correctly, I find the head to be stiff. Squeaky stiff. The swashplate wont move freely fully assembled. The swashplate by itself moves nicely, the head and flybar by itself moves nicely. But one I start connecting the ball ends between the two everything starts getting stiff. The ball ends on the balls actually squeak they are so tight. Is this normal? Do I need to lub them? What about reaming the ball ends with the correct ball end reamer??
My boss had told me that the heli hovered fine, but when cyclic was added to actually move the heli, it became very unstable and vibrated violently. Thus causing the main blades to come in contact with the tail. Now granted, he didn't have the head assembled right, but would the tight rods of caused any of that? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

with a tight head you have to chase it around , say you are hovering and the heli drifts left a bit. normaly all you do is give it a little touch right and retrun the stick to center and the heli is fine. with a tight head when you give it that little right correction its going to just keep going right until you take it out by correcting a bit left.
