I got through two gallons of flying my TT raptor Titan with no incidents. When my wife asked me what I wanted for my Birthday I told her I wanted another gallon of heli fuel and the day at the flying field.
I almost make it through a tank of fuel before trying another Immellmen. I didn't give enough of a negitive 'push' and the heli started toward the ground. I paniced. I reverted to airplane mode and gave it full throttle and full up elevator. It hit the ground so hard that no big pieces are salvagable. Even the OS Hyper's heat sink is crushed.
A new heat sink alone is $80! It is going to cost as much to fix the stupid thing as it did to get it in the first place!
So any idea's how to cheer an old boy with no heli up?

It could have been worse...at least you *know* what caused it..... I lost three airplanes before I found a broken wire in the Tx...all three spiraled in after some time flying...I thought it was me cos all three went in and the radio all looked ok on precheck and postmortem.......now I know it was a combination but it took a while to find our the Radio was at least partially to blame!!!
so..cheer up....get saving and try again

Crashing is part of the hobby, plain and simple. You can minimize it but you can't eliminate it entirely.
I use a two part system:
1. have a backup on hand
2. remind myself that building 'em is half the fun

Sorry to hear of it's demise. And I feel for you, I'm financially handicaped. When I crash I'll be in the same boat with ya. I have been keeping this heli in mind. I want to get a cheap heli to learn on and save my Raptor 50 Titan from certian destruction. Back to an afordable heli. If your electronics are ok, repair the engine.
And get this.

As I upgraded my first Raptor, the spares went into a box and one day I realized I had almost enough for a second heli at almost no extra cost. So I now run a fully blinged metal everything monster and an all original plastic basic clunker.
Still better than having nothing to fly.

I’m a beginner and bought a esky belt cp v2 first time out crashed it in 3 seconds, $30.00 worth of repairs.
2nd time out crashed it in 3 seconds, people said it would fly better with a cnc upgrade, that and the repairs
cost me $210.00.
Heli = $179
1st repair = $30.00
2nd repair/upgrade = $210.00
Total = $419.00

That comes to $69.00 per second to fly, Hope things get better! at this price I can put a man on the moon

There are only three rules in RC Flying
Rule 1: Crashes Happen
Rule 2: You can't change Rule 1 (try to but it will eventually happen)
Rule 3: This hobby is not cheap (how cheap or expensive depends on you)

Just hang in there having a backup heli is the way to go and try to get as most parts stocked up that you know will break in a crash. I know I have been there I broke my plane before did not have the money to fix it right away and had to wait it sucks I know but its part of the hobby crashs are going to happen not to long ago my raptor hit the ground because my elevator servo went out took me about a month and a half to fix it broke blades tail and belt fins landing gear and needed a new servo I wanted to cry[
] I got her back to gether now can't wait to see how she flys

Very sorry about the crash. It happens to us all. If you are beginning I suggest a simulator as "first helicopter". You can crash and learn and crash and learn all you want. The pros all use them, I use one and have for years.

I feel the same way u do. i just bought a fairly new Raptor 90 and it flew it for the 1st yesterday and i feel somewhat uncomfortable with the idea of crashing and having to dish a whole lot of money for repairs. I realize that this is part of the Hobby and we have to deal with it but once u crash it sure doesnt feel good.
Sometimes u have to force yourself to not be so concerned about it and if you ever did crash, find something else to do with your time to make you happy until your back up in the air. Even if that's months.
GND2's comment is probably the most realistic one
Believe me, im not so thrilled with this thought either but this is part of the hobby.
