This could only happen to me.. A fellow flyer had a small fan jet which had no gears but took off with a long bungee cord stretched out.. He flew and a short time after I took my little Sig Profile Ultimate out to the runway, not knowing that he had forgotten to remove the bungy cord.. I gave the Ultimate full throttle, hurrying down the runway, just about time for lift off the Ultimate slowed down and came flying backwards back toward me.. What I didn't know was that the bungee got hooked into my tail wheel sending it back to its starting position on the runway.. Quite a surprise to say the least..

It did hurt the tail but primarily ripped the tail wheel out of the rudder.. I wish I could have had a video of the incident especially the confused look on my face.. I was stunned for several seconds, until I finally figured out what had happened.. This incident happened at a big Fly-in we were having, so it was seen by many.. It was a good laugh..

I'll have to say the best stunt I've ever done with a airplane was that 50 foot in reverse.. The bungee story stands as is, even though I don't know the difference between an electric and a glow engine..
