Default Quick Fix

For many years I have taught model building, and one the things I do is to make sure I am using a sharp blade in my knives.
The folks I have taught pick up on the fact that when I cut myself I generally wipe it of and quidkly smear a tiny bit of CA over the cut. is holds the skin together and stop the bleeding.
On of my students called me one night to tell me he had cut his finger on a sharp prop. I asked if he put CA on it and he replied that he had not...When I ask why..he replied that he did not have any of the gap filling type of CA.

Last time I cut myself with a prop, I was going to do that, but my friends all decided I had to go to the damn emergency room. Spent a ton of money, and do you know what the doc put on it? Instant glue! Dough heads.

Actually, they are advertising a "Medical" version of CA on the tube here in So Cal. They call it something else, of course, but it is CA glue tinted purple.
Not supposed to use it near the eyes. Gee, anyone that has ever used the stuff can tell ya that!

Well, a doctor told me that the CA used to glue together cut skin is 'purified'.
I don't know what he meant, since I believe that no germs should survives inside a drop of CA.
