Hey, just get a 90 two stroke and change the big gear. If you reduce the ration by 2 you can double the rotor RPM. Imagine, if you could run it directly, you could turn the main rotor at 10,000rpm. WHile you will not break warp 1, you will crack the sound barrier.

i see theyre developing lazer flight now so maybe thats the go.
also try building some stub wings and load them up with those chemical fuel rockets.thatlle give you 2 seconds of serious go power
and no contol
but if you have to choose between control and power who wouldnt take power

Just an observation, but look at the log-in names of the last two people who have replied to this post: Mad Scientist and Secret Agent X9. Between the two of them, there has to be the brain power to collaborate and break warp 3 at a minimum....

About the rockets on the wings thing - I remember an article from long ago that showed how to mount an Estes rocket motor to the bottom of a Falcon 56. It was triggered by a battery hooked to an old flash bulb. It worked for a RATO. I think I'll give it a serious try this spring. If I find the article I'll post it here.
The log-in name comes from the book "Cat's Cradle". My wife also calls me Felix Honniker - if you are familiar with the book you'll know my personallity(ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO MY HOBBIES!)
