Right now outside my window, the wind is blowing at like 50 mile an hour. now launch some really tiny plane against a HUGE plane, and of course a heli and a sailplane, that would be one funny drag race

I think that anyone that makes it to the finish line would be a winner
!
I sent an email out to some of my flying buddies a little bit earlier, and (thankfully) none of them were up to the challenge. The wind here is pretty bad too.

I live in Oklahoma. When I first started flying, I complained about the wind. I was told that if I couldn't deal with wind that I needed to give up flying. I have learned since to deal with and have fun with the wind. Did you know that you can fly backwards? I have a Dazzler (Great Planes) the other day, I was at the field with a gusty 25-30 mph wind. At this speed, landings are interesting. I would slowly fly to the end of the runway, cut the power, and let the airplane fly backward to land. It is neat when your airplane rolls backward when it lands. Good luck with your wind. Scott
