You know your addicted to R/C when you know this thread topic has been run through already and could list all the traits provided.

Its 34 degrees out and sleet is coming down. You and your buddy have been flying combat for 3 hours. The police ride by don't even roll the window down. They just shake there head and drive away. And you think .....Man that was rude.

What the heck........
You use digital calipers as tweezers to pull a resin impregnated splinter of fiberglass out of your palm.
You have a scar in your foot from the exacto knife that rolled off the work bench and impaled itself into your foot while working late one night with bare feet.
You have scars on four fingers of one hand from the time when you forgot that there was a prop spinning on the plane when attempting to adjust your needle valve.
The two car garage is so full of plane stuff and tools that the car barely fits.
You spend atleast a half hour on RCU every night just seeing what is new just looking for places to up the post count.

...instead of going to a nice dinner with your girlfriend, with a little you-know-what afterwards, you tell her you have to stay at home to fix the plane you crashed today....
Man, I think she's STILL mad at me for that!

As for the thread subject:
When you've been unemployed for the last 8 months, can barely pay bills and buy groceries, yet still manage to buy fuel, replacement parts, and new kits to keep flying.

Ok Ok Ok. On top of the 1/2 hour of RCU surfing daily.......
There is the 1/2 hour to 2 hours flying G2, which I have set up on two computers. There are two or three hours of building planes, I'm up to 13 almost 14 planes plus a chopper and a couple cars of my own plus 6 others I built and maintain. I don't own the six but fly them. There is always a repair for someone else to get done. There is the half hour stop over at two hobby shops on the way home from my real job to see what I can spend money on, even though I work at one on the weekends. All of the rest of my time is dedicated to flying and sleeping with the occasional meal. I used to fly for the local AMA AST, but gave that up last year. So, my time for RCU is a bit limited.
If anyone asks..........nope, not married.......RCaholism addiction is my weakness.
I'll admit my addiction. I need to get married to help me with it. A little nagging would be nice to help cut down on it. But I do enjoy not having to explain to my wife why I was out flying for 6 hours. I also think that my addiction is cheaper to pay for than a good phsychologist, so there is a plus side.
Ah yes! The exacto knife in the foot. Oh the memories. I remember that it really didn't hurt until I pulled it out [X(][:@]
We need to start a recovery club so I don't get any worse. I'm in the process of looking for a house with a three car garage. I have run out of room in my two car garage and need more space. I don't want to move any of the planes and tools inside. I like to isolate the dust and the smells outside. I've been thinking of building a custom home with a nice workshop attached to the garage.
Yep, I'm pretty messed up......no hope for me

When you're GF sits you down and says that she thinks that R/C has adversely affected your $ex life... Not that it has happened to me

When you are trying to figure out how to get a parkflyer that you can fit into your suitcase for a one month deployment to Thailand and still have room to bring back some cheap O.S. engines
