I'm glad at least some of you guys have a sense of humor. Sometimes I get to these boards and people are so uptight, I just don't want to bother reading. These are toys we are dealing with, and for me at least, when I'm enjoying this hobby, I feel like a kid again. For those that don't have the sense of humor, get one....... I remember what it was like to filter through the terminology, this is one of the reasons the RTF scene remains so prominent, they simply give up trying to learn what most of us take for granted. We also tend to have different opinions on a great number of things, planes and gear wise, this adds to the confusion for the new pilot. One thinks there are muffler bearings, you gotta admit, is going to be absolutely clueless about anything else. Oh, and here is a vendor for them BTW. http://www.unbelievablerc.com/detail.php?pid=16

Alot of people just don't know the proper technique in getting their bearings straight in the first place! Crooked bearings are just inviting problems.

Are you car guys?
I ran my daughter's Taxxas today in the driveway and up the street. Great fun, even though the neighbors probably thought I was a bit immature.
My muffler bearings were a little noisy, though. I lubed them (no replcaement necessary) and they ran smoooth after that.

A friend of mine called up a guy he knew who worked at a busy auto parts store and said: "Dan, I need a high-performance ashtray return spring." The guy, in his harried state quickly wrote it down and told my friend he'd get back to him when he found the part. After 'Dan' hung up the phone he looked at what he wrote...D'oh!

Sorry, not a car guy here, planes are expensive enough of a hobby for me.
I like the ashtray return spring story. Sometimes I'll walk into a restaurant and there clearly will be only myself and one other person, yet they insist to ask, how many is in our party. I quickly blurt out some big number, like 40 and they stand there shocked knowing full well, they can't handle that amount of people at once. You should try that some time for a good laugh.

Go to a fast food store and pay with a $2.00 bill in the mix. Lots of young kids today don't know they exist and will think its a fake bill. It's taking me over a week to get 10 of them from my bank [X(].

Well guys I got the Ceramic Bearing placed them in and almost instant 19 extra HP when the engine isnt even running. Just imagine what it's doing when it's running, But that 250 feet worth of lien, I was thinking more or less around the 300 foot mark, but will try the 250 feet first. If it not to my like I'll just super glue another 50 foot spane of line to the end of it.

Ya know, I have been having problems with my OS 32SX-H overheating, do you guys think it is the thermostat or it is a faulty radiator cap? Try asking a young guy at autozombie for a 65 VW Beetle radiator cap some time if you want a laugh.

But what's even funnier is when someone says well I cant find it in our parts inventory, but I'm sure that we can order it for you.

See, a sharp sales person would find the most expensive radiator cap and pull it out for you, since it would obviously work as well as a less expensive one.

ng. "These are toys we are dealing with, and for me at least, when I'm enjoying this hobby, I feel like a kid again." Toys?!... Miniature aircraft just sounds better to me and heck yeah.. kids have a way of enjoying tech stuff. Back in the day, control line planes and Pinball machines were truly "Space Age Technology"[sm=49_49.gif]. No one even thought about the harm an "out of line"muffler bearing" could do to the main Kinipty Pin!
