Hi all, this happened to one I know long time ago , he was flying a 25size trainer just minutes before sun set ,and he wanted to try to fly his plane at high altitude and into straight line.......for a while .... ,but the small gray colored ..plane got out of sight and out of sound too,..... for seconds he tried to turn it back but nothing appeared in the sky,.... it just vanished in the horizon , After about a minute later when he gave up he turned the radio off and put the antenna down , and while we were talking about it ..the plane suddenly appeared from the same direction that it disappeared from , and at the same altitude....!
He rushed to the radio and turned it on and puled the antenna up,.................. and brought it down safely.
I keep remembering this since and wondering what words make an explaining out of that.., [sm=thumbup.gif] Anyone can?

about 15 years ago, while flying in the morning, Bob was coming in for a long approach for a landing, lost orientation and down behind the trees it went, as I ran over to grab the radio, ( he was a newbie )he turned to me and said " oh well " a second later the plane comes up from the trees, Bob regains control and lands it.

In 1973, after I had joined the rc ranks I had helped a guy "learn how", he had soloed and flown a few times. We were at the club field and he was in the air when he yelled at me "the engine quit" I went over to him and asked "where's the plane" 'cause I didn't see it even looking in the general direction he was. He said "it JUST went behind that hill" and handed me the TX. Being the "expert' I was (ha ha) I waited a few seconds and pulled in a bit of up elevator and held it.
We crossed the road, climbed the fence and walked in the general direction he had last seen the plane. There it sat, on the gear, no damage, amongst the cow pies. Seems the Fox .25 had swallowed all the fuel in his Goldberg Falcon 56.
