I'm pretty sure they use the heavy duty spring airs, the ones with the thicker wire.
You might find them at some swap meets...

I believe he is looking for the brackets that hold the retracts.

good luck mate!!!

I got sick of waiting for a response and not being able to get them anywhere so I asked on this thread if someone could post a pic of the brackets or some dimensions so i could make some up locally.

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_77...18/key_/tm.htm

I looked at them and with all the super tight angles they have on them i decided that it would be pretty hard to make them out of aluminium and not have them crack (even with the right tools) unless you used O condition aliuminium and then heat treated them after bending. So i made up a mold and layed up some carbonfibre/glass replacements and then also desided to make them a little more aerodynamic and molded them with fairings.

They have turned out to be super tough and i'm really happy with them so well worth the effort required. I used the recommened spring air's and some cheap hobbycity struts that work fine!

Another commercial option might be through JD Enterprises, who offer a knockoff version of the byron F-16.

Thanks

dave
