Default RAM 750F Problem

I have a RAM 750F air start that I bought new about 10 years ago - runs great - never one second of trouble. I try to keep it in the rotation of flying my other jets.

The last few times I've flown it though, I can't seem to get the engine to hold idle. After startup it always seems to idle high - around 150mb. I then use the ign button
to lower the CP to 91mb. However after the flight at landing time the engine is back to a high idle.

The bearings seem fine and the temps are always consistent. This thing has just been a jewel since day one.

Have any old RAM owners ever experienced this problem?

Thanks

I'm not sure how those early ECU's work but first off I would be looking at the pump myself.

Everytime I start mine I have to lower the idle/pressure with the ignition button but it always performs fine. Not sure what may be causing that issue. I would give Carlos a call at RTI. I'm sure he could pin point your problem.

Good luck, they were and still are for the most part excellent engines. Still...a shame they went under.
