The most amazing part IMO is at 3:45 in the vid.

I'd heard years ago that the off-boresight weaponry was making the "turning fight" a whole new problem, but I didn't know that there were "over the shoulder" air to air weapons...

THIS is what makes the F-35 unique ,and the most advacned fighter ever made. I was able to witness the Sim demo and all I can say is that the penetration and defense capabilities are just incredible. This is the smartest airplane there is. Sorry F-22........even smarter than you :-) However these are two different role airplanes, so I rarely ever compare them.

I know the F-16 MS capabilities very well, so I can attest that the F-35 makes even the latest generation F-16's seem old schcool.

Thanks for posting the video, it shows what the JSF is all about. The rest of the airframe is just utilities to get that capability close to the conflict zone. ;-)

The Isreali's have had this for years.

Video sounds like a detergent advert, nothing but DAS (Daz) gets your clothes whiter than white.

Pretty cool !! Even allows you to look through the airframe so you can see what's below you too. Is it fast enough to use in night landings? Could be a big improvement of NVG technology for pilots.
