Default Problems with Byron Kfir

The CG is between 8 and 8.5 inches forward of the former that the fan is mounted in.
I have a problem with this CG.
The KFIR start to run but it will not take off.
Has anyone a answer for this ?

Try to raise the nose with a longer nose wheel so that the aircraft sits on the ground with a positive AoA.
I had the same problem with a JHH Kfir.

I too had a Mirage Kfir and she flew great, not the fastest jet you will see but she flys scale and looks great in the air. My Mirage took every bit of 400 ft of grass runway to rotate. I also had to get all the elevator I could. I believe I had over a inch of travel on the elevator. My nose was pitched up just alittle. when she rotated off for me she took a 45o angle, and kept going it was a beautiful sight. The CG if I remember it was just forward of the retracts. I have the manual some where around I will try to located to get exact.

here is slow flight it can come to a crawl. Also you can get some great high alpha out of it too, if you have the canards on yours.

Wow 12kg, whose engine are you using. Make sure you do all the carbon mods. I am assuming you have sheeted and glassed the wings. If I find the manual I will scan it for you.

Default Byron Kifir

Hi Jack Jet and Myself, had the first successfully flying Byron Kifir, do you have the elevons set with the proper amount of up trim?Reflex if you put the Canards on, we found that with the Byron Kit it can affect the take off roll,The plane when rigged right is the best flying Kfir hands down.Im building a turbine Byron Bd5J the Byron Kits are perfect for converting to the smaller turbines,They have stood the test of time, they were a bit big and slowwer flying than the rest on glow but now if your lucky to have one they hold a ton of fuel and fly like a dream with only a 12lb motors Good luck

Jörg, that is a fine looking KFIR. Congrats on the flight, did you require much reflex my did not need much. Oh also I must have trown out the manual and plans, I just can't seem to find them. but sounds and looks like you did not need them..
