We have flown our many times. It needs a gyro on the tail and other than that it's easy and straight forward. We have them available if interested.

Thanks,
Lowell

Tom,
I did a little bit of research and I'd go with the Jet Legend kit. Im not a big fan of the glossy finish, but nothing a 1000 grit 3M wetsand cant handle. I really dislike the big seam behind the FE cockpit section, and the tail fins just dont seem right. And I assume JL is probably the hell of a lot lighter. I like JL's glass work a whole bunch.

.....or if you want to paint I can get you the exact FS colors being used at LM.
Id personally rather build the kit and do the gear doors myself, no matter which brand.
I have a jl f16 and the gear works great!

Then again, u could probably get the hell of a deal from Ram bro on the Fly Eagle kit.

Your a good builder, build the kit Tom!

Good luck,

David

Tom, there are some shots of it on the Best in the West thread here on RCU.
The fit and finish excellent and the gear work perfect. Nice fun plane that looks great in the air.

I flew one at Best in the West. It flew fine. Had a little tail waggle at slower speeds, seemed to go away a bit the faster you flew. Tucks a little on a hard banking turn but nothing crazy. flelt stable on the landing approach. Slows down real fast when you lift the nose. Gear and doors worked flawlessly.

No way in hell will I ever purchase a Jet Legend kit. Look at the threads about their non existent customer support! My friend who lost the F-20 finally got a Mig-29 as a replacement kit. The gear does not work due to poor engineering. All the JL Mig-29 are having to re-engineer their gear to get them to work. Anyone who buys JL is nuts!

Don't chew me man! Just trying to point out to you my findings, which are based on thd very little info available and youtube videos.
:-)

Anyway, sorry about that Tom. I havent had any issues with mine so I coulnd't tell about costumer service, yet (and knock on wood really hard).
I, however, had issues with the higher end Chinese suppliers, go figure!

Anyway I understand where you are coming from and agree with your attitude towards them.
My best guess is you will have an issue with all of them eventually.

Signing off,
FalconW

Falcon Wings...didn't mean to insult you...if I did please accept my apology. I just saw the way my friend was treated by JL and the quality of their product. I will say the distributor he was working through provided outstanding support to him. I have had SM and FB jets with FB being the best of the ones I have purchased. Shaun, if all manufacturers sold a product as good as YA my blood pressure would be a lot lower plus there would be a lot more happy campers. I love my Raptor!

No sweat Tom, I fully sympathize with your reasoning. It is tough deciding who to purchase from these days. The threads on this forum speak for themselves.

it'll be a cool jet Tom and you've got RonS and the two Davids to get color schemes, paint chips, documentation etc direct from the Factory

the propoganda material LM puts out has some cool country flag paint schemes.

fly fast turn left, just like the real one.

only thing you won't be able to do is fry a rabbit 10' off the nose from all the stray trons coming out of that thing!!! hell you might even be able to make the bomb bays functional. it's a big bird and would be cool to see on the ramp at Waco.

cheers

Tom,

Thank you. I'm glad you like it, and I'm seriously considering getting an ARF one myself. I've always liked your candor, too, so comment was very much in jest...
