I didn't vote because I do not know the full story, only what I have read on a very unreliable source

FWIW I hope jet flying (or other R/C flying after that pecker head flew his model over NYC) doesn't get banned in the US because what your government does, our government tends to do. It's much easier than thinking for themselves.

Lesseeeee, the so called Patriot Act stripped us of liberties and freedoms like never before in history. If memory serves me well the clown in power was not a "D" guy...
So think about that when you vote. The same party that wants to cut SS, medicare and Medicaid to our seniors... Think aboutr that too...

Once it is regulated by the FAA or banned by law, Our wonderful hobby I have loved for close to 50 years will no longer be a right. Even the AMA is already calling it a privilege. I usually like most Brits I've met and I won't judge You or everything You are based on just a few posts I've read, but most average Americans know that Our politics and our economics are in dire straights right now, even though most of Our elitest press says everything is peachy and going in the right direction. The difference is that Britain is a nation of privileges granted by the monarchy to it's subjects based on wheather they are deserved and can be revoked at any time, and We in The U.S. are supposed to be endowed with rights from our Creator.The most high universal authority. We are born with these rights, If they are stolen from any U.S. citizen, it is an offence against against the benevolence of the creator. Just because someone is ignorant enough to let someone take away somthing precious from them, and use them till they drop dead, does'nt make it any less absurd to all that is decent. Right now Our government is using Our division as well as despair against it's own citizens to powergrab Our inherent rights one by one. The last time The U.S. had a populist party gaining strength to bring real change for the people was at the beginning of the 20th century. W.H.Taft ran on the Republican ticket, and Woodrow Wilson on the Democratic ticket, Theodore Rosevelt wanted another term as he before was president only because William Mc Kinley was assasinated. Failing to get the Republican nomination, He was pivotal in rallying angry divided Republicans in the creation of the progressive party. It split the republican vote and Wilson won, and We ended up with an unqualified president that allowed the birth of the Federal Reserve and that led to phony currency, economic collapse of the 1st depression, the ponzi scheme of social security and medicare system, several severe recessions, and now the 2nd great depression, That our Screwed up lying Free press calls a jobless recovery. Sort of like a foodless banquet huh? The same thing just happened again, the Tea party is a bunch of angry Republicans that split the party vote and is now going to be absorbed by the Republican party. The Republicans and Democrats know this and like it as They play good cop, bad cop with us depriving the people of anything better. It' like the WWE wrestlers, They all act like Their opposed to each other in public, and at the end of the day, they all shake hands, eat and drink, and probably laugh at how much money they got from the audience! Again, Most average Americans know that We've got Our own problems but if You believe they are severe enough to laugh at, its not cool to kick a dog when He's down. I pray every day that more and eventually a majority of Americans will read the Declaration and the Constitution and learn the difference between a Right, and a Privilege. I am not worried about it because of two reasons
1 when you have been flying for only five years you can't buy a jet
2 if it is ever banned than I will go to court against the FAA, flying is a right and not a privilege and the government can't take our right from us if we don't let them

Thanks.I'm with you on the wager... the hobby won't be banned. My main concern is the turbine operation of the hobby, I think we'll be OK as it is now.
I do believe the FPV aspect of R/C will be hit with some major rules and restrictions (I welcome that 100% BTW).... I'd wager it all on that this next summer. First it was the 3D hucker that flew into a bi-plane a few months ago... we got over that, I think. Now it's the 2 clowns from Austria that pop in to NYC, fly around the city like a couple of rouge cowboys and leave a questionable video at our doorstep.
Geez, we can't afford another black eye. [:@]

Furthermore, since its outside the AMA rules, the FAA considers it ALREADY to be banned by them, and yet they still let it happen... Every AMA member should be clear about that and an active spokesman to others who may bring things like this into a conversation about recreational RC - this stuff is ALREADY against the rules!
