My Feedback: (24)
Have a DJ3 about 1/2 done. I can tell it will be heavier than my HB A7 Corsair that also uses the Toki .18. The A7 is not fast .... but it flies. I rememder a lot of interest/postings on the DJ3 at the end of last year when it was first introduced have not read any recent postings/info. How does it fly ? Is anyone flying one ? Thanks. Bob

Hello Bob,
my DJ-3 has flown in April 2003. You can find a lot of pictures and a video of the maidenflight on my DJ-3 - site.
Though itīs in german language, I hope, you can get some information.

I am very near done with mine. Had to take a 4 month break to go to war, but now I'm back and ready to fly!! I have modified the non-steerable retract to steer-pretty slick too (I think). I retain the ruggedness of the OK gear, and keep construction relatively simple. I am also NOT installing a rudder, but overall weight not much different due to the steering servo. But, it's way up front, where I want the weight. I also stuffed a square battery pack inside the nose block, further increasing the moment there. Hopefully I can break the engine in this weekend!! I have been thinking about flaperons, and even possibly elevons with the two independend elevators. Maybe it could be activated with the retract switch-like a landing/takeoff mode, then normal with the gear up?! Well, I guess I'll be happy with simply airborne for now. Looks cool though-all covered except the nose, which is the last thing to be completed (i.e. radio installation)
Let me know if you have any questions. I have construction pics too. Also, check out BennyX's website-tons of great stuff there. Must be the nicest DJ-3 yet!!
