servos

We sell those at the Hobby Shop, I had never heard of them myself until late. The are a number of Big Bird and 3D guys useing them in 30 - 40% Aircraft here in the Central Texas area. I have heard nothing but great things about them. Lots of bang for you buck !!! They seem to be fairly new to this area, but the car guys have been useing them for some time. The use th Futaba arms if you need special needs on arm sizes. They do Not have the Futaba connector with the tab, good to go on JR etc... I am putting them in a Kangaroo I'm putting togeather, 4 on the Elevons... I'll keep ya posted how they work out.

They are the same servo as the Spektrum 6020 and 6030...which just have JR output splines. Savox make these.
We have tried the Savox servos since they came to the UK around 18 months ago and have had good results, better than a Hitec servo, not as good as a JR in std sizes. The Micro servos are in many of our P-20 models and would say they are much closer to the Micro JR servos, both Micros start to "step" when hot.
I have a friend with a Flash that has had Savox 10KG units in for over a year without any problems.

Hi
I bought 20 pcs of a Savox 20-25 kg servo, but i returned all of them. For me they were useless. when the servo was in the neutral position, i could move the servo arm a lot. Maybe they are better now, but all 20 i bought was the same, so i cant say i was unlucky with one....

I have the Savox made SpektrumA6030 servos on all channelsin my Carf Hawk. JR spline which is handy for JR HD output arms.
25 flights and no problems, 20kg torque, titanium gear train, digital coreless, fast with good centering.
There is atiny amount of play at neutral position but I can not say this is noticeable when flying.Very good value at up to 50% cheaper than the top JR servos.
I also have them on my classic Flash except on elevator where I am using JR 8411's.
Considering that most of our medium to large 120/160 jets have quite small control surface areas with small movements and we fly our jets smoothly most of the time these servos seem an excellent choice. After all we dont have abarn door size rudder wacking from side to side as on a 30% Extra.
Yes JR servos are superior but not by much.
In many cases like on the steerable nose leg this servo is a bit overkill but considering the price still worth using.
With the average Jet using 8 servos these Savox/Spektrum servos can save you several hundred pounds over other high end servos while still having an excellent product.
The A6030 is also fitted as standard in Hanger 9's latest version of their 30% Suhkoi SU 26.

I've been testing two on an Elan tail with 79 flights so far no problems.
I've just tested a 1/5 L39 with them all round, I wouldn't do that if I didn't trust them.

I don`t remember, but i think it was. and they were 20 kg servos. I was supposed to put them in my FEJ F-14 twin. This plane have very big elevators, so "a tiny amount of play" at neutral position will have a lot of effect. And if you first have some travel, it will quickly get worse. This is why i did not use them. They had as much travel as the old Hitec 5645 and 5945.
