Default The 15 is Back

Here she is. The F-15 is back.
Back in Oct at Tittusville the canopy came loose and stuck side ways. After keeping her in the air when all she wanted to do was go tree diving the whole way around the pattern I put it back on the runway only to have the brakes grab and pull hard right into some unforgiving tall grass. Here are some pics of the repaint on the fuse.

I went and added to the center tank with some color and heat treated the tail cones.

The F-15 looks great, too bad I couldn't keep the Velox out of the trees! [X(]
On a completely different subject, I noticed a sears band saw in the background. I have the exact one I bought at a garage sale. It says 2-speed band saw on the unit, but for the life of me, I can't figure the "2 speeds" out. Do you know how to change speeds?
Thanks,
Ron

Wow!!! I was there and remember thinking that airframe is done. Then I remember what you had pulled off with the F-86 and thought if anyone could bring it back it would be you. It looks great!
I really like the exhaust nozzles. Maybe if you're out of things to work on, I'll send you mine!
We'll have to get the F-15's up together this year.

Thanks guys

we just have to wait until it warms up enough not to freeze my fingers.

Ron my band saw is single speed. Sorry I couldn't help. If you have a belt drive on it with a pully system, you might have to change the position of the belt on the pully.

Looks great ! Are you using a smoke setup inside the outboard tank ? i can see there is a switch on the tank.

Yes your right.

The center tank has a complete smoke system in it. I have one Servo lead and one fluid line to hook up or disconnect to remove the entire tank when I don't want to use smoke. The tank has the pump speed controller battery pack and a 32 once smoke tank with a 2 once header tank all contained inside.
