Default Help sourcing a filter

I am exhausted trying to source a small pleated paper in line fuel filter for use in a jet project.
The items I believe are made in the US and seem very hard to get over here in the UK. There are a few available via some ebay outlets but they add a huge shipping charge for items which weight almost nothing :-(

The items are available in a variety of different product numbers but these seem to be the most common

PF893, CG3388, CG11 and G427

I am after 40-50 of them and was hoping one of you kind jet guys from across the pond can help me out.

PM or email me if you can, and pic attached for reference.

Hello i or someone can get these at any auto parts store you might even be able to buy the in case you know 24 or some thing like that. I am not sure about your part numbers but if you could give us numbers of how long wide and that stuff just to be sure. I am not a turbine guy way to much $$$ for me but I fly some mean EDF jets so I am sure that a turbine guy will say he knows right where to get them. But if he does not then I would be more then willling to help you. Eric

Hi Marc

I too tried a while ago to get a sizeable batch of them. I was told by the supplier I used before in Canada that they were obsolete parts and not available any more. Then I managed to get a reasonable number of old stock on cards from Ebay in the USA.

Found this one in Europe: http://ricoeurope.com/pf893-p-24546.html Don't know if they have them or not, may be the same as Inlinefilters and only tell you after you have ordered that they are not available, looks like a UK telephone number on the site.

Kevin and guys appreciate the feedback.

Most of the UK suppliers don't actually have stock, even though the items are on their sites, so hopes raised and then cut.

Currently a friend who travels to the US as a pilot has worked a solution and I hope to have 50 or so of these filters with me in the UK by the end of the month.

Ongoing it would be good to see what can be done, and who can ship direct to me, so please advise on progress.

Cheers for the help, always top class ;-)

Those filters were used on GM products in that length or twice that length for many years. You may try a GM dealer or parts outlet under an AC Delco number.
