Back to why people are getting out of the hobby then?

NEED THE CASH ! there I said it . Hard Times bring on Harsh results. During the "Great Depression" haven't heard of or known of TOO many who had spare cash to spend on a hobby. At that time everything was scratch built with items one had in a barn,silo,basement ,outback building etc,and Items were bartered .
This FAA doesn't help either, but lets hear what the new items are before we "Panic" .
Anyway all of our *****in' here(RCU) ain't doing a damn thing other than getting blood pressures up,and showing the rest of the world What its like to have FREE SPEECH as long as we stay within the guild lines of RCU.
With that said flame suit on ..

I doubt if you'll get flamed for any of that! You're right though. The economy is getting people to hang on tighter to the (less and less) cash they have. My business is really getting hit hard by the scarcity of 'extra' cash lying around in peoples' pockets... []

It might not be that people are going out the hobby door,
but looking forward, I don't see a lot coming in the hobby door.

The buy and fly stuff is dominating the market,
Producing a non-problem solving, uncreative, disrespectful unskilled modeler.

As far as Jets, dispite the money end of things ..... I think there are fewer and fewer folks out
there with the mental, technical, and flight capabilities or skills to get to this level of the hobby.

Ours may be the last of the great modeling/model making generation.
