I have a new 12X that I love. I had an 11X for 2 or 3 days and returned it. For one thing, the sliders on the 11X are on the back of the transmitter, and to me, were hard to reach. For another, I really wanted to be able to back up all my programs on my PC. The 12X lets you do that, while the 11X doesn't.

I don't have any experience w/ the 12X, but i love my 11X and find the sliders on the back of the transmitter more comfortable than the side mounted ones.

Best bang for the buck is the 11X. I really don't see a reason to get a 12X until JR upgrades it with some modern tech, like sd card, lithium battery, telemetry, all switches being user assignable, user upgradable firmware, etc.
For the record, I have a 12X.

One feature I like with the 11x is you don't have to turn it off and hold down a key to access the systems menu

I had the 11X for about a day, I didn’t like the feel, but the thing that got me was that you buy an 11 channel radio and receiver, then have to buy a 12 channel receiver to get the 11 channels because the radio comes with a 9 channel receiver. I have been a JR user for ever but that is part of what made me buy a 12Z for my jets.

yes it does.. with the 11X you just put the models on a SD card and then copy the models off the SD card onto your computer. No program or connector cable necessary.

Comparing the 11X to the 12X, there are lots of trade-offs. The 11X definitely gives you more bang for the buck, but the sliders were a deal-killer for me. I DO like the fact that you don't have to turn the 11X off to change models; wish the 12X were the same way. But at the end of the day, the 12X was the radio for me. Now that I have it, I wouldn't trade it for anything!
