Weatronics use a master / backup model for battery redundancy. It will switch to the backup one if voltage drop on master one. You get battery redundancy, just a different one.
Its a reasonable debate which one is better. I'm more used to the dual batt model, but can live with this one in order to benefit of the other Wea features.

corect me if i am wrong but as far as i know weatronic use only ONE battery and not TWO like PowerBox that share the load on two batteries

Hi George,

The Wea soft swith is a simply "open circuit for on" device as used in most soft switches today. If you don't like the plug system, you can easliy wire in a switch to the circuit.

I agree with you that if you want more than 12 seperate channels, each on a seperate transmitter switch/slider/stick, then the current Wea software will not do it as they have only have 12 inputs and up to 30 outputs. This is fine for me as i dont like that many individual controls, and use the software to group several devices onto 1 switch or slider.

I believe that in the future Wea will be up graded to 16 inputs, and this should be a software upgrade for all the current 2.4
Rxs.

Roger

Hello DelGatoGrande:

I just try to connect MPDX-1 to my new Weatronic DR-12-30, it is working. Now, my DR-12-30 becomes a 26 channels system. I think there are enough channels for me.

I suppose if Futaba have taken the MPDX-1 off the market its because of the new S-Bus system they are promoting.
