RE: My Starfire II build
Sprayed the white base this afternoon, and after scheduling my airbrush guy that was gonna do some stuff on the bottom of the wings only, he made me such a good deal on airbrushing the whole plane that I decided to let him have his way with it. I will clear it when he is done, but it will be nice to have a pro brush it for me.

Here's the paint. I realized after positing some are out of order. Ken is awesome at what he does and am glad I got him to make this thing look great. Thanks Kenny !
My brother watching the Jedi painter at work.
After Kenny did his thing I cleared it sunday.
I used thin aluminum to create a realistic tail cone. Note: plane is not as fuzzy in real life !

The green is Kawasaki green ( taken straight from my veins ) that kenny added a pearl with gold flake to that is one of the prettiest colors I've ever seen. The black is a chamealeon that goes from black metalic to red high metalic. The grey is metalic also.

Mouth-watering!!!!, I have had 2 D/F Starfires and they are wonderful aeroplanes. My pal recorded a speed of 221 mph (From a long steep dive) at Pampa in Belgium many years ago. He used Futaba 3001 servos on the elevators as did I. Makes you think about all these add-ons and high power servos everybody is pressed into buying these day, keep up the excellent work. No intention of being contraversial, each to his own. Best wishes for you and your model, Ron.

I do plan on posting flight vids, and I didn't know it was an ARF. Seems like there could be some interest in an updated ARF although I still like the fact that I an still buy a plane in kit form from you.

You are at a stage now when you MUST be posting progress pictures of assembly. Its pretty much expected at this point that they are daily, or. Seriously though, I have been instructed to let you know... You need to attend to your fans. Vicarious living is necessary for most of us.
Ihave a decent camera and hope to be able to provide some videos when that time comes you guys. I will also have to snap some to post up here cause these camera phone pics just dont cut it.

Well, these pics don't seem too interesting to me, but if ya'll want pics here they are. I was able to inset the pipe and enlarge the cooling cutouts in the rear tailpipe former I made. There's a lot of freakin crap to stuff in this thing ( who talked me into running eagle tree ?). I Plan on maidening it next weekend. I think it will be in the 15 pound range which From what I gather should be really good for having a big engine, over size tanks, eagle tree, struts, and detailed cockpit. I will also use the Jersey modeler dry break system for fueling. Its a wonderfull thing. I'm going to put one on my Sbach I like it so much ! I will probably weather the tailcone a little also.

No flight yet. I had about a two week delay. Should finish it in a few hours today and plan on maidening it tomorrow pending no problems, and my wife dosn't go into labor.
