Default A biplanejet?

Hi friends!

I´m not sure is it an Robin Trumpp april-joke or a real project. Since some days you can find on his website (www.robin-trumpp.de.tl) some very interesting pictures of an biplane-jet.

I guess the late Great Jimmy Franklin should have thought of that

Met Jimmy many times at a small airshow in our area. Pretty cool on how he started up the jet engine. He rev'd the engine and the prop blast would spool up the turbine for the starting proceedure. I have some really nice pics I took of the set up.....

Way too many wingtips to create draggy interacting vortexes

The Futura have now a biplane sister !!!!

Great look ! After all those F3A biplane, it is not abnormal to see a derivation of this "concept" in jet mode...

Biplanes are more draggy by nature because of the structural design : less internal structure but external wire. On modern design "wireless" biplane it's not so draggy if speed is not the main goal, but neutrality and trajectory. Here we have clearly a pattern plane for wich speed is not the goal, as for other other sport design like Futura. Sure this one will be a killer in flight ! Sorry for for the 5kg weight limit in F3A, I would like to have seen one in F3A pattern contest ! [8D]

I think there are lots of reasons the word 'jet' and 'biplane' should not be used together.

This is probably the best reason! [:'(]

It's called the PZL M-15 Belphegor & Woj is correct, it's an agricultural aircraft (boy, that's an understatement!)

Apparently it was very effective against bugs, it scared the hell out of insects, livestock & small children.

Strangely (thankfully?) no one has felt the need to model one.

As well as being arguably the world's ugliest jet it's also the world's slowest, top speed 125 mph. - John.

Somebody say me :

For an airplane :
- If it have the biggest engine available : it's American
- If it's built with agricultural workmanship : it's Russian
- If it's complicated : it's French
- If it's ugly : it's English

And now we can add...

- If an Englishman feel it ugly : it's Polish !

(it seems we will be able to have an simulator model of the twin Sensation, maybe...)

I actually thought it was pretty funny

The only bad part about bi-planes............. is that second wing. Other than that, I love bi-planes!

That's a joke folks !

But, as we look at it, Brits had done the most beautiful planes (like Spitfire or DH-88), but also the uglyiest one's (do you knonw the short Seamew ? [link]http://www.google.fr/search?hl=fr&q=short%20seamew&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=1659&bih=87 1[/link])
