Default Best Mac-Compatible Simulator?

Hey All,,

Between work schedule, Springs winds and late winter storms we are having a tough go at it getting the jet season up and running here in Denver, Colorado. Flying every other week, weather permitting is just not doing a whole lot to knock off the rust, so I thought I would crash some jets and flip some warbirds on a simulator to help the old hand/eye coordination out a bit.

I haven't owned a simulator in about 4 years. Any recommendations that are Mac compatible?

Thanks in advance!
Shaz

Hi Shaz, AeroFly is the ONLY Mac R/C sim. You know if you have any of the newer Intel Macs you can run Windows on them. I just ordered the AeroFly Pro It looks to be good, A good friend of mine who is a Horizon rep uses the AeroFly (He said not to tell anyone) Scotty

I use Real Flight on my MAC. Use boot camp and windows XP. It will be the best PC you ever had. Best of both worlds. You can run it as a mac or a pc. it is not an emulator. Must have a intel processor in your mac.

dont know if its the best but it works great on my system.

I won't give RF my money! I use AeroFly deluxe also... works very good.
I've owned RF (many, many yrs ago), and called them and asked why they don't make a program for Mac and was given the runaround. Now granted, that was like over 10yrs ago, and back then they may have thought there was no market for Mac compatible sims, but everyday I meet people moving over to the Apple fold!;-) So good, for Aerofly to see what the public needs... my .02

I have not used any other simulator. I am just letting mac users know they can use any simulator a pc can use if its a intel mac and they install windows. I have run many programs for pc only on my mac and it runs just as good as a pc. In many ways its better since all hardware drivers are made by apple who also makes the hardware. NO compatibility issues like with the hundreds of makes of parts and drivers for a pc

yayz, pc...not.

I've run the old Aerofly using Parallels, but I'm gonna buy the new version native for osX. Looks great and I don't have to launch Parallels....

George I already have a PC. It is on its last leg and I swore I would get a Mac next time. Tired of viruses and all the stupid updates. And Windows just sucks. Time to evolve my friend. Am thinking ahead with the simulator.

I run Real Flight G5 via Bootcamp on my Mac. I find 3D flying to be too easy in Aero Fly Pro, which I also have.

Shaz I have Aero Fly and G5.5 I find they both have good points. I fly the G5.5 most of the time. I can tweak the jets to fly just like mine do at Chatfield. But you know nothing can help my flying skills.

George, theres nothing wrong with your flying skills, we all just need some stick time and it seems every weekend there's either 40 mph winds or rain...

Nice George! I wish you flew on weekends. We're going to have a jet rally at Chatfield tomorrow!
