Default camcorder

Hi all, was thinking about getting a fairly good camcorder for jets only. any suggetions on what works, easy to operate and about a grand. Panasonic HDC-TM700 is one suggestion. I've seen a lot of video"s by others, and most are pretty crappy, I don't want to follow that route.

Its not a camcorder but if you are thinking about inflight video I have had good luck with the Contour HD GPS. It would not be a good choice for ground filming though. LOL I have a heck of a hard time filming jets from the ground with anything its usually 20 seconds of blue sky with a streak of plane flying by.

Try and get one with a decent view finder, (Do they still come with view finders?) most seem to have the LCDscreen, I find this difficult in bright sunshine, or trying to capture a fast jet on a low pass.
