And calling Dennis, thick was ok??
I have ordered one for a mate to take apart and check to see what it's like. It won't be going into one of my jets though

Sorry, but I fail to see how that thinly veiled full frontal attack (now deleted I see) on Jeremy was ''Just Joshing''. Scotty

And yes I deleted my comments about LGM because in the morning I thought some were a bit strong.
The comments were however in defense not attack which you would realise if you bothered to read the thread.

The maximum load of the HobbyKing switch is 5 amp continuous. That seems a bit weak to me for anything running full size digital servos.

Interesting that it has the same power handling (5 amp) as the Powerbox sensor switch that it looks so much like. Plenty of people use the Power Box sensor switch, me included, without a problem. I have 4 digital, 3 analogue and 3 electronic switches running through a Powerbox sensor switch.

RE: Regulator Switch - Beat this
Well it arrived in a rather large box why I know not.
It looks and feels just like the Powerbox one. and they both weigh the same 35g. I think this Product will be ok. When I get a bit more time I will do some tests.
Here are a couple of pics with it next to a genunine power box one
Oh and I understand a few others of you have bought one but are keeping stum about it

My test one arrived on Monday, I've not had chance to pass it on to Julian yet, but he is going to strip it next to a powerbox one and see what the difference is

....and neither unit will work ever again !
I'll take some photos, be interesting to see the quality of the HK surface mount soldering.

Can't wait for the pictures of the strip job on the switches............
Any other observations on the heat sink, wire gage, etc??

The wire gauge looks the same on both but the Hobby King one is slightly stiffer.

Looking at the 2 switches I would actually say that the Hobby King one has more cooling. The depth of the fins are twice the depth of the Power Box one and there are 7 fins (Shorter) against 4 on the Power box
The wire gauge looks the same on both but the Hobby King one is slightly stiffer.

One other item that I noticed on the spec sheets of both swiches; the HK is rated to +60C and the PB is good to +75C. Something to consider during the summer months in the Northern Hemisphere.
