Default Southerncross GPS unit

Several months ago I purchased a GPS unit from Southerncross, but have
not recieved anything. Has any one recieved a working unit ?
I have tried contacting them several times, but no response.

Johnny,
This is the first one I've had go missing in transit.. I've had a few suffer in the folding, spindling and mutilating machines that
the various postal services run. This has led me to change now how they go out.. I've got some doing to a local agent in the US who is going to ship them out via a traceable method. I'll make sure one goes out in this lot to replace the missing one..
Any futher emails send to [email protected] it's more reliable as there is no spam filtering on it at all..
Now to go check into this guy who wants my help to get us52 million out of africa.. Sigh..

You're not the only one my friend that was delayed but many others, one of which was me.

I've ordered the item in Dec 2010 and it arrived more or less 4 months later in Apr 2011!!!

The shipping was supposed to be with EMS but it was with normal post.

The instructions were very poor and it did not mention how to change units from mph to kph and back nor did Southcross know how to do it and I had to figure that out my self.

Then I found it cheaper elsewhere.

Overall 2/10 for this transaction.

Good luck

i think everybody is in that boat if you look back at this dealer in previous threads he has had many problems. I have a couple of friends who fly for Quantis and they have experience with Southern Cross and they rather pay $500 in shipping than buy locally from them.

David,
Funny, there are lots of others around the world who are happy to order prodcuts from Foamies to foxcubs to turbines from us with no problems. We had issues with the minGPS units in part due to damage and in part due to them going missing.. perhaps putting GPS on the customs decs wasnt the best idea.. im sure there are some postal workers trying to figure out how to put an address in such a small gps unit...
Of course not being made aware that they hadnt arrived didnt help, but now we are aware we are replacing those that did not arrive.

Gary does have the replacement units locally in the US and I'll email out the postage label/number as soon as I have them.

Right now I need to get back to packing the MB-USA Tornado and Kingtech K-80F to ship to a cutomer in sydney.

btw.. Its Qantas

I'm sure Modellbau would be very happy that you are selling them like you promised.

Oh and I wish SCRC luck with the 23 model reviews you have promised all of us. Should be excellent reading.

seems to me molo_30 is TROLLING for customers in this thread....making statments like this"David, tell your friends to contact me if they want prompt service. I specialise in customer service. "
molo_30 maybe you should specialise in not putting other people down for your own little goals...go find customers in your own threads mate..stop being a little TROLL in other peoples visions hey....Play nicely or play someplace else..reality is at work here not your little jelous agenda

Ive recieved nothing but the best service and support from Rob and his company and look forward to some great products in the future

cheers

I would not buy from Molo30 because he is bad mouthing another vendor. I see Rob(southern cross) doing that, too.

That being said, add me to the list of people ripped off by Rob Orrock, who is sometimes "Southern Cross RC" and sometimes "RCwarez."
I have heard every lie and excuse in the book from him, but the fact is he just never sent the item.
Yeah, ok, the postman must have stolen it. Must be a lot of theiving postmen in lots of different countries.
First he says "oh, it's only a problem in the USA", then you can see someone in Greece also saying he did not get his.
He lies a lot, he is saying that he designed and developed these EDF jets, I found out they were designed and developed by Smartmodel in Hong Kong, who also make helicopters, and that you can order them direct from the factory, and that Rob has actually sold none of them at all.
I don't think there is any "warehouse in china" either.
This guy is a piece of work, over on RCG he is constantly spamming every thread.
But he will take your money and deliver nothing.
I'll write my loss off, it's not the end of the world, but I know I am not the only one he has taken for a ride, and I think people should be warned.

Yes jetjunkie, maybe I am. But you have no idea of my dealings with this guy. I don't need the customers believe me. I thought I would offer the chance. I sincerely hope he keeps providing you the best customer service. Good luck with that. But I will edit it seeing as its been taken wrong. And obviously he hasn't ripped you off,,,,, yet. Jealous agenda, ha. You've got no idea. Oh and by the way junkie, who's thread is this anyway?

gatorbait2, I wouldn't expect you to understand but bad mouthing? Please, plenty of his customers doing that for him already.

So ignoring the 4 post troll.. Everyone who has let me know they didnt get their miniGPS should have a USPS tracking number by now. If you dont let me know, they went in the mail yesterday..
Today I will have limited access to emails and net as my 4 y/o daugter is going in to have her tonsils and adnoids out and will be in hospital overnight due to risk of complications.

Sorry for attacking you before. Everything you and I said was true, Rob Orrock took the money and ran, three times now.
Biggest list of BS lies I have ever heard, lost in the mail, we have a warehouse in china, we are developing this exclusive model or that, this guy is just a plain old liar, light a candle for me and all the others who lost money to him.
jetjunkie is him under another name, too.
