Default first attempt at weathering

My first attempt at panel lines and weathering. This is an Avonds F-15 I have built from a kit. It will be powered by a JC P-80 22# thrust. All up weight should be around 22# wet

Looking good.

It's hard not to do too much weathering. You did really good.

I learned it watching Bob Moore’s vids (How to build a B1 Bomber). Prime w a thin coat of primer then put chart tape on and prime again, wet sand chart tape with 600 then remove tape. Wet sand with 600, paint with base coat cleat coat. Then airbrush the panel lines towards the rear of the plane and lightly add a little of color to the rest of the plane. Then wet sand with 600 to remove most of the weathering to get the effect that you want. I wanted it to look well used and dirty but not over done.
