RE: BEST IN THE WEST JET RALLY DATES AND LOCATION
BITW was a fantastic event, from the planning to the registration booth to the pyrotechnics show to the cleanup. Joe's leadership really made this a first-class event. I was only able to make it out for part of Saturday, but I got to talk to a lot of people - and NOBODY had anything but positive things to say. Pilots, spectators, firemen and the BARKS volunteers were all impressed with the event. Also, for the first time ever, nobody left kero or propane bottles behind - and as the guy hauling the trash to the landfill I really appreciate that!
Absolutely a first-class event. Kudos to all involved!

RE: BEST IN THE WEST JET RALLY DATES AND LOCATION
Very late making this post, butI've been to 17RCrelated events this summer, and just now getting a chance to post some pictures. I would like to thank Joe Castelao, Lowell Wexler, and their staff for an excellent event. Got a chance to meetfriends and had a great time. The afterhours party was fantastic, and Doug and others made sure no one was without great food to eat. Really appreciate David Searles for putting up with me, and for some stick time on his King Cat. That was the first time flying a King Cat, and the plane is AWESOME! I never knew they flew that well!!!!!!! I also got some time on Lowell's Fly-Eagle F-86. Lowell had it set up perfect, and it was on rails all week! Very nice airplane, and thanks for giving me some time on it. Also got to fly "B-1 Bob'sF-16 during the week. The F-16 flew really well, and I found out quickly why they paint them gray! There were timeswhen it would disappear for a split second. That got rid of the jet lag in a hurry!!!!!!!!! Certainlylooking forward to next year. I'll have the F-15 and F-18 shipped out and ready to join the fun for Best In The West 2012. Thanks again for a great time!!!!!!!
The pictures are from my phone. Wanted to travel as light as I could. I'll definitely bring the good camera next year.
