I have a P-20 in an E-Turbinator. When I start it for the first time of the day it usually sputters and then goes out. The next start it goes okay and runs fine. I don't have a UAT in it right now due to limited space. Has anyone else experienced this and would a UAT correct this?
Thanks,
Hal

Can you see Air in the fuel line before the first start?
You starting on gas? how long does it run on gas before the fuel pump starts to run? Is the starter motor "skipping" on the first start, before the O ring beds in and grips. Which spinner nut do you have, blunt ended or one with a small protruding pin?

There has been three types since last August release, the pin type is the latest. It reduces O ring wear as the contact area is greater.

I don't see any air in the fuel line but its hard to see the fuel line coiled up in the inlet. I am starting it on gas. It transitions to kero okay but then it sputters and stops. I can't see the spinner nut with it in the plane. I will plug in the gsu the next time and see what error message I get.
